1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Legacy Fire Helmets website, placing an order, or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our website or use our services.

These terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers of Legacy Fire Helmets. We reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms & Conditions at our sole discretion.

2. Product Information & Safety

Legacy Fire Helmets manufactures premium firefighting helmets designed for professional use. Our products meet or exceed applicable safety standards, including NFPA 1971 where applicable.

Important Safety Notice: Proper use, maintenance, and inspection of fire helmets are essential for safety. Users must follow all manufacturer guidelines, department protocols, and industry best practices. Legacy Fire Helmets is not responsible for injuries resulting from improper use, modification, or failure to maintain our products according to specifications.

2.1 Intended Use

Our helmets are designed for structural firefighting and related emergency response activities by trained professionals. They are not intended for other purposes unless explicitly specified.

2.2 Certification & Compliance

Each helmet product page specifies applicable certifications. Customers are responsible for verifying that our products meet their department’s specific requirements and local regulations.

3. Custom Orders & Personalization

We specialize in custom-designed fire helmets tailored to department specifications and individual preferences.

3.1 Design Approval

For custom orders, a design proof will be provided for approval before production begins. Once approved, changes may not be possible and additional charges may apply for modifications.

3.2 Production Timeline

Custom orders require additional production time. Estimated delivery timelines will be provided at the time of order confirmation but may vary based on order complexity and volume.

3.3 Department Logos & Insignias

By providing department logos, insignias, or other copyrighted material for customization, you warrant that you have the legal right to use and reproduce such materials.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in US dollars and are subject to change without notice. The price charged will be the price in effect at the time your order is placed.

4.1 Payment Terms

Payment is due at the time of order placement. For large department orders, we may offer payment plans or purchase order options by special arrangement.

4.2 Taxes

Sales tax will be added to orders as required by applicable state and local laws. Tax-exempt organizations must provide valid documentation before purchase.

4.3 Order Confirmation

Your receipt of an order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order. We reserve the right to cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to product availability, errors in product or pricing information, or suspected fraud.

5. Shipping & Delivery

We ship to all 50 U.S. states and selected international locations. Shipping costs and delivery times vary based on destination, order size, and selected shipping method.

5.1 Delivery Times

Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout. These are estimates only and not guaranteed delivery dates. Legacy Fire Helmets is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather, customs, or other factors beyond our control.

5.2 International Orders

International customers are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and import fees. These are not included in our shipping charges and will be collected by the shipping carrier or local authorities upon delivery.

5.3 Risk of Loss

All items purchased from Legacy Fire Helmets are made pursuant to a shipment contract. The risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.

6. Returns, Refunds & Warranty

We stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship. Please inspect your helmet upon receipt and contact us within 7 days if there are any defects or issues.

6.1 Standard Returns

Standard, non-customized products in original condition may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund, minus shipping costs. Customized helmets cannot be returned unless defective.

6.2 Warranty

Legacy Fire Helmets come with a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase. This warranty covers:

  • Manufacturing defects in materials
  • Workmanship issues
  • Structural failures under normal use

The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage from misuse, abuse, or improper maintenance
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage from fire, impact, or chemical exposure during firefighting operations
  • Custom elements added by third parties

6.3 Warranty Claims

To make a warranty claim, contact our customer service with your order number, photos of the issue, and a description of the problem. We may require return of the product for inspection.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Legacy Fire Helmets website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Legacy Fire Helmets or its content suppliers and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any content without our express written permission. The Legacy Fire Helmets name and logo are trademarks of our company.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Legacy Fire Helmets shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use our products or services.

Important: Our liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of our products shall not exceed the purchase price of the product in question. This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, or otherwise).

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in New York County, New York, and the parties hereby consent to personal jurisdiction and venue therein.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Effective Date” at the top of this page.

Your continued use of our website or services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms & Conditions. We encourage you to review this page periodically for any changes.
