Jessica Taylor –
After seasons of wearing basic, uncomfortable wildland helmets, the Legacy Wildland Edition feels like luxury. The ventilation system actually works—I can feel air moving even during the hottest mop-up operations. The wide brim provides excellent sun and ember protection without obstructing vision. At 22 ounces, it’s the lightest quality helmet I’ve worn. The moisture-wicking headband is a small detail that makes huge differences during 16-hour shifts. I’ve taken this through two fire seasons now, including the Dixie Fire, and it shows minimal wear. My only suggestion would be to offer more color options for different terrain. The green works well for forests but stands out in desert environments.
